"25 Ways to say Thank You"

The Volunteer Centre Newcastle is facilitating the "25 Ways to Say Thank You" to the City’s Volunteers by celebrating their achievements. It is outstanding how much help and commitment volunteers from in and around the Newcastle area give to our community. Especially, in a time of economic downturn our charities would suffer without their dedication.

We have excitingly managed to organise the use of the Launch Pad vehicle to host our 2 day event (http://www.launchpadnortheast.org/). The Launch Pad vehicle is going to be situated in Newcastle upon Tyne’s bustling city centre on Northumberland Street.

The event is going to give 25 organisations the opportunity to say “thank you” to their volunteers and this could be with certificates, tea and coffee or a home baked cake and biscuits. Furthermore, we have some fantastic free raffles planned and the prizes have been generously donated from 25 companies within the city as their way of showing appreciation to our volunteers.

For members of the public who are interested in volunteering there is the opportunity to talk directly to organisations and find out more. Plus we will have lots of volunteering DVDs to watch and a selection of information for the public and volunteers to enjoy.
