From volunteer fundraisers and hospice hairdressers, to gardening and conservation volunteers, the wide range of volunteering activities represented in the images submitted were both incredible and inspiring!

Christian Morris, Magpas- the Emergency Medical Charity
The photo shows two of their doctor and paramedic volunteers boarding the local police helicopter, which takes their lifesaving teams to the scenes of very serious road traffic accidents. These volunteers are able to anaesthetize patients and operate on them at the roadside, saving lives across Cambridgeshire.

Sixty Plus supports older people in the community. Here, volunteer escort Paul helps Rita on a group shopping trip. He gets her around the store, on and off the minibus and carries her bags. These trips provide a great deal of practical assistance and comfort.
