Volunteers' Week Partnerships

To celebrate Volunteers’ Week in 2009, Volunteering England teamed up with a number of national organisations who already involve volunteers in their work. In joining us, they demonstrated their profound gratitude to their volunteers and encouraged others to get involved.

These partnerships enabled us all to join together to celebrate the diversity of volunteering and challenge the perceptions of volunteering activities. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone at these organisations who helped Volunteering England to mark the special contribution of all volunteers in the UK on the 25th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week.

“73% of the partners who completed the survey said they had benefited from being involved, with all saying they would do so again.”
